This set is quite a unique build with new buildable figures and parts to make a small course. As it says on the box, Luigi is not included because this set is an expansion set. Expansion sets are sets that expand or make a starter set much bigger, but it can get a little pricey. The buildable figures include Professor E. Gadd and one yellow ghost to stir up trouble. However, this set soured my taste in this specific Lego series. The first problem is that there’s no instruction manual to tell you how to build it. You have to go online to find the instructions on the Lego Super Mario App. Another problem, this set felt suspiciously light and it came with a lot of small pieces making the box to feel half full. A waste of space and cardboard. Being an OG LEGO fan and seeing a Lego set that did not come with its own instruction manual made me quite underwhelmed. I do not recommend this set to OG Lego fans because of the absence of a paper manual, including the entirety of the Lego Super Mario series.
