That's how far international basketball has came, this Spain's team was years ahead of anything the original Dream team faced, it literally took the US assembling the Avengers to secure a gold medal.....and keep in mind this was 2008.

This game and the 2012 rematch are two of the best games ever. Spain was so good, they almost pulled off the win both times - multiple comebacks, etc. Awesome basketball. And Kobe was just clutch as always

Kobe's 3pointer, fouling out Fernandez and shushing the crowd, still gives me chills. It was the first highlight I thought of after he died. I remember this game so well.
