That’s a real friend,he literally cooked him all his meals ,so he could focus on his new family.

Forget wedding gifts... This is the real thing a new family needs

I'm not even a parent, just an overworked twentysomething and this is incredibly useful. I hope you can make a few more videos on this topic, for variety's sake.

As someone who often suffers from the big sad™️, I’m 100% looking forward to trying these in advance so that I can still eat when I don’t feel like cooking anything

Can you even IMAGINE Babish ringing your doorbell and dropping off a weeks worth of food. Literally a dream come true
  • @maxcooper8998
Hearing him say that the lasagna is made for one person is probably the most comforting thing I've heard all week
  • I know you made this for your friend who has a baby, but I'm saving this vid for the much less nobler "when I can't get myself to go to the grocery store" days. Thank you!!

I LOVE the premise behind this video! A friend helping out a new father and being genuinely excited to do so. I think so often society portrays the "My friend has a kid, I guess that's it for hanging out" too much.

As a lazy college student, this type of meal prep is helpful
  • As a mom of 2, thanks for doing that. A friend's mom made us a bunch of food after our 1st was born. It was an absolute life saver!

As a Dad, I can testify, this is literally the best thing you could do for any new parent(s). Awesome!

Moral of the video: Being a parent can be difficult, so, get yourself a supportive best friend like Babish who hooks you up with sustenance while you take care of your pride and joy.

I'm also going to tell everyone that the extra slice of cheese on my breakfast sandwich is to protect the muffins. You're a clever man.
  • More like this Please! So many things can be frozen, helping families avoid eating out (especially fast food) and helping us avoid junk food but the details matter, and so many recipes come with Zero advice for freezing, thawing, out reheating. There are tons of fresh meals that can be made faster by bulk production of parts that freeze once a month and grabbing those components for the final through together in a weeknight. It improves nutrition and reduces stress, but so little out there comes with those tips, so you have to experiment on recipes you like. If pros like you started giving tips on make-ahead, freeze-ahead parts... We busy parents would be so thankful!!
  • Perfect video bud. I'm a construction worker, working 10 hr nightshifts, and only every other weekend off. I'll be doing this up this weekend for sure. I bet you could do a whole meal prep series and we'd eat it up

babish is the actual mvp you dont realize how much this helps new parents until you become one yourself, and congrats sawyer :)

“One or two cloves of garlic” means 3 cloves of garlic. The more you know 🌈⭐️
  • One trick I find useful for reheating things in the microwave or oven is to put a small dish with water beside it. The water somewhat steams the food keeping it more moist.
