I'd like to point out that Dodie asked us all to please not speculate. I believe she said that in "pasta is good life is sad", and she may have said it in "Would You Be So Kind?". Shipping is great, but I think we should be careful to not make either of them uncomfortable.

I think in jons tourist song (love song from Paris or something) he made it pretty obvious that he did like her. As there was one lyric that said he wanted to hold her hand in some place. I think it was dodie that distanced herself from him because if you read her lyrics she was basically saying it wouldn't end well

He said on tour that they were supposed to go on the trip together but dodie "got busy" and couldnt go. I think she just chose not to because she needed to distance herself from him if they weren't going to be in a relationship. He was like "she wrote a song in response and i dont even know what its about" and laughed it off but its pretty obvious the song is about how if he doesn't want a relationship he shouldn't be complain about being lonely and just enjoy the trip. (aka her lyrics: "wheres that self control you preached" "you're not allowed to think that" "what a nice little holiday")

I never even thought about shipping them until SITC this year when they sang human together on stage. Dodie sang the entire song either to the audience or with her eyes closed, but Jon sang the whole thing to Dodie. They could just be friends but damn, that really was cute. actually Jon wanted to write the song bc she was supposed to be in Paris with him. . . She couldn't be there at the time and Dodie didn't agree on the melody he decided on for "their" song. She gave him a new melody and new chords and he agreed. They both wrote different lyrics. And yes. Also Jon tried to say he kissed guys in college at my live show on the tour. He may be bisexual.
