the fact that they’re asking what’s in it for them while they’re in a literal hostage situation is hilarious
  • The kidnapper says "I've never lied to you and I never will" like he's in a romance and not a show about hunting monsters

    “ Jeff what happened dude? ” “ I can still taste his breath ” “ …. what? “

watching this video was wild because i work in a psych ward as security and one of the patients was fixated on this show and explained the entire plot to me over a span of four hours including a tearful monologue about the tribute episode to one of the people who apparently died on the show. The guy was 100% convinced it was real and was warning me about going certain areas in america due to some huge wolves that they hunted on the show. It was honestly one of the most memorable patient interactions from last year.

I'd like to imagine that Jeff is the only one who doesn't know it's fake, and this is all an extremely elaborate prank
  • this show has the same energy as a bunch of kids playing pretend and tbh I love that for them

I love how Danny never explained what the hell the "Stonish Giant" even is. We were just kinda along for the ride

My husband proposed to me while we were on a trip in Cuzco, Peru. After a wonderful day that included gorgeous sites and delicious food after he proposed, we came back to our hotel and turned on the tv. This show was on and we had never seen it before. We ended the night watching it for like 3 hours and dying of laughter. Good times

the fact that a plot point of this show is "the woman of the woods has marked jeff for death" is unbelievably funny

My uncle was trapper john, he was an amazing man. Yes this show is wild, actually a lot of it is filmed on my farm in WV and a lot of the traps were built by my dad and grandpa and they also played the monsters sometimes. As a kid growing up on this set, I can attest that this show is absolutely unhinged. When my uncle first told us all about this idea we thought he was kidding till he told us the release date. This group of friends really just wanted to make money off of having fun😂 thank you for this, it really brings back good memories of my uncle john

Imagine if all these monsters are real, and these guys are humanity's only defense.

There was one episode where an enemy hunting team set this huge fire and left a bunny hanging from a tree (I believe inside out) and wild bill goes "should we give it cpr". One of the other guys just goes "no bill, it's dead" in an extremely annoyed tone. That exchange floored me, 10/10 show

We lost Kurtis’ extra greeting and we are no longer Drew’s little stinkers, now all we have left is Greg. Stay strong in this dark era 😣

As someone whose first language isn’t English I was really proud of myself for understanding like 10% of what was said in the show

The recurring bit about these guys accusing the skeleton of killing the Stonish Giant had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe

These lads managed to turn LARPing and goofing off with friends into a hilarious, 11-year old career. Never stop
  • @LauraSkow
I like to imagine Jeff is the only one in the group who doesn’t know it’s fake.

the fact that there is a guy named trapper who is not the one who builds the traps is incredible

My husband and I were so obsessed with this show. After the actor who plays Trapper died in real life, they decided on the show that he'd left them a special "Lore" book that leads them on mystery solving adventures. The later seasons have a like sketchy imaginary MIB type government organizations trying to stop them from finding monsters. It's literally a bunch of dudes playing pretend. The show is just as crazy as it seems in your review and only gets crazier in later seasons. Wild Bill also delivers a lot of incredible content and was quoted in an interview as saying that filming this show "saved his life" as it gave him direction/a way to process his ptsd after discharging from the marines.
