The Suitcase Murder: Bill and Melanie McGuire

Melanie is so messy that I'm genuinely surprised that she didn't claim Bill chopped and stuffed himself into several suitcases and threw himself into the water.

I don't really doubt that she's responsible, but I find it terrifying that someone can be convicted for LIFE without any hard evidence.

The odd thing I will say is I’m from Philly and lots of people drive to Delaware to purchase things to avoid sales tax 😂😂 it’s weird but I know tons that do it.

Melanie was my mothers fertility nurse and the man she had an affair with was her doctor during her pregnancy with me. i was born at the beginning of April 2004 and she committed the murder on the 28th. She has told me that they were both incredibly kind and that the doctor was the best doctor she could have asked for- so much so that she went back to him two years later for her second pregnancy after everything came out! So crazy how something so grusome can happen involving two people who were fundamental in your existence!

I'm sure she's involved somehow, but it's scary AF that someone can be given LIFE with ZERO physical evidence. How do you dismember someone and not have ANY blood evidence, etc..? It's extremely disturbing to me..

You should interview Bill & Melanie’s former roommate. She fled their apartment in the middle of the night because she was so scared of them & claims they were both psycho.

Moving to London!! And engaged!! So happy for you Bella 💜 I will say it is a lot nicer to get to get on a plane and only take an hour or two to get to Italy, Spain, France etc. love it! Weather is always miserable though, but hopefully you don’t mind rain and the cold temperatures! 🤣🥰

There’s way too many “suitcase murders”. It’s so sad. I learned such a long time ago that if I ever find a suitcase, I’m not gonna open it, there’s just so many times that happens.

"Cut it off at the knee" is an actual phrase. I've heard it pretty often here in the midwestern US. It means to cut a problem short by heading it off from the get-go instead of letting it get worse.

Dang, this case is so awful! I'll never understand murdering your spouse , just because you want out. When people decide they'd rather go through a murder trial instead of a divorce always astounds me🙁

I grew up in school with the sons, they were so funny and nice. When I found out these were their parents I just couldn’t believe. You would never know the trauma people have been through and live with.

Re staying at a hotel after he left, I would have done this as a victim of abuse. Safer knowing you’re somewhere they don’t know about if they are angry at you. This part actually makes total sense to me.

Not excusing what Melanie did: 1) buying and owning a gun in New Jersey is extremely hard to do. Most ppl aren’t allowed to carry so you’d have to go out of state for a firearm. 2) a lot of ppl drive to Delaware to shop for big purchases. It’s cheap and does save a lot on taxes.
