According to the National Institute Of Mental Health, at least 16.2 million Americans have experienced a major depressive episode in the past. The Anxiety and Depression Association of America estimates more than 40 million American have some form of an anxiety disorder.

So, with these truly alarming numbers, why is the stigma around mental illness just as firm as it was 20 years ago? That's what superstar singer Josh Groban is trying to change one interview at a time.

Josh, we, your fans are with you all the way. You are not alone. We love you and pray you will always stay strong. Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed about or feeling alone. I myself felt a depression years ago and for 3 years grabbled with it. I was literally sick every day. Taking meds wasn't helping so I sought strength from God to help me get through each day. We are with you. We love you and so we ask you to stay strong knowing how your fans feel. ❤️
  • Thank you, Josh, for being vocal about depression. There is still so much stigma attached to mental health issues that it continues to be difficult to discuss with anyone not afflicted by it.

Josh you are an amazing musician/singer/songwriter who is right there with Bruce Springsteen and a bunch of other creatives who struggle with the same thing. So glad you found some help and used your own creativity to help you rise above the darkness into the LIGHT. Brave! I too like many of your fans have been following you since the beginning and send you love, strength, hope all ways for the best. Be safe Linda

I am a senior. I love Josh and have listened to his music from the start of his career. He is very brave to discuss what he is going through. I admire him for talking to the public about his experience. I suffered until I was in my 40's with panic/anxiety. I have taken a generic form of Paxil since I was diagnosed and still take it. It takes a supreme effort to go out into the world for me. What I have learned from my experience is self-love. I have learned a lot about me and found the ability to pat myself on the back and learned ways to comfort myself. Every day is a challenge. Josh, you are amazing and just a super caring person. It has been a joy to watch you grow as an artist. Hugs
  • Thank you Josh Groban. We love you for sharing your beautiful music and songs

I am a senior citizen born and raised in Hawaii and  have been a fan of yours ever since you began singing as a teenagerwith Celine Dion.  Your eloquent voice and angelic songs have given me so much inspiration and happiness.  Going throughlife's journey, I too, have experienced many episodes of anxiety and depression. We are all humans and with God's help we can overcome our "daily problems."  Everyday I hear your songs on YouTube.  Thank you so very much!!!{Mahalo nui loa!!!) Robert S. J. Hu

I agree it is not a weakness to reach out for help. People often are unaware of how many people suffer anxiety and depression. It is far better to seek help than to deal with the hell it brings to an individual. Than you Josh for sharing. You have so much to offer to yourself and your fans. Good luck on your journey.
  • Prayers for you Josh Groben. I applause you for helping others with your struggles. I get it, you can be in a room full of people and still be lonely. There us still a stigma with issues with mental disorders. Hopefully that will change sooner than later. I wish you Peace. 💝💝💝
  • I can't thank you enough Josh!! I suffer from bipolar, anxiety, PTSD, agoraphobia, and fear of people. These disorders are very, very hard to deal with. If you have a broken leg, people understand. My disorders, along with millions, aren't seen and misunderstood, sometimes not tolerated. I do take medications to stabilize me and help with suicidal thoughts. It's critical for people to understand the severity of these disorders. It seems when celebrities talk about it and share knowledge, people listen. So , thank you again for being a voice for us that need it. I can be a scary and lonely life. I've followed you from the time David Foster promoted you. Your voice and octaves are incredible!! Bless you for your beautiful music and being an advocate!!
