If you want slightly more drag on the rope, just tie a couple of quick release knots in the length of rope that is mostly in contact with the ground. They can easily be untied for use with different hawks, and added to easily as the hawk gets fitter. Obviously this only works on decent length grass, with zero snaggy bits. Ive also soaked the rope in a bucket of water when not in use, but dont do this with crap rope, or you'll compromise it eventually.

Good common sense video for getting the humans back in a good way of thinking.
  • Love that bird Dave. Don't think he would be much help in a pest control roll like my two Harris hawks but if I was hunting I would love an Eagle. Keep it up Dave.😊

Awesome video thank you! If you see footy behaviour on glove would you reduce how often to garnish glove say 50-50?
  • Always good to watch experience in tutorials like yours. I’m curious so I have a question, Zeus compared to a male HH in the same temperature at rest, does Zeus burn more calories than a HH scaled up . I see different species being fed vast differences to maintain weight, Merlin, Peregrine. I was wondering about Golden Eagle do they conserve energy well and eat surprisingly less or large eaters. So to waffle but hope it makes sense.

Nice video. What weight or diameter rope would you recommend for a female Harris Hawk. Thanks.
