World food tour - Italian seafood pasta from Cinque Terre village - about Italian pasta

Published 2022-11-09
Italy has a long Mediterranean coastline and is also very famous for its cuisine. Pasta has always been the icon of the Italian cuisine. Today, we will go to Italy to see how they make pasta and I will also cook a very easy seafood pasta dish that I discovered in Cinque Terre (means "finve lands"), a beautiful region comprising five quaint coastal towns in the north west of Italy.

One advice; cook the pasta for seven minutes; then rinse them in cold water to stop the cooking; finish your work on the fish sauce and then add the pasta. cook everything for another two minutes. the pasta will remain "al dente" then. The procedure in the video will overcook them.
  • Small correction - the Cinque Terra is not "a small beautiful village". It is a region of the coast south of Genoa with five distinct towns, hence the name "Cinque Terra" meaning "five lands". each town is quite distinct from the others and YES! they are all beautiful.
