Ages of Conflict

Ages of Conflict is an in-development World Map Simulation Game

  • AI-only: In this game you observe randomized nations interact with each other and ultimately try to control the world in a massive free-for-all !
  • Maps: The game currently has 6 different maps provide interesting layouts for your game
  • Session management: You have some control over the initial setup of the world by spawning a select number of nations before randomization.
  • Nation management: You can edit the names of nations you have a particular interest of, even after they have been destroyed.
  • World Building: This game can also work as a tool for world building, thanks to its ability to keep track of nations long since passed. The game has some statistics which can help in finding ancient nations and comparing them to each other.

There are some major features that I still have planned for this game, such as:

  • Custom Map Editor
  • UI improvements
  • More complex relations between nations (alliances, rivalries)
  • More nation specific information (culture, ruler)
  • More statistics (timelines etc.)
  • Ability to play or give commands to nations (maybe)

Controls:

Mouse - Manage menus and map

WASD - Camera movement

P or Esc - Pause menu

Space - Game pause

Scroll wheel - Zoom

F - Nation focus

Tips:

Age statistics won't be useful in the early game since all nations are the same age. Once nations get annexed and new ones arrive it will become more useful.

Higher number of random nations will most likely lead to more revolts over all because of the amount of cities, so raising the nation count to max may not be the best option if you want overall larger nations to form. But check different situations and give feedback if you'd like something changed.
