Had intended to release this animation during October, but realized it was going to need more time to do it justice (about 2 more months of extra time haha). Also wanted to chalk it full of hidden details and fun references ranging from spooky video game paintings to horror classic references. Although the spooky season has past, why should the spookiness have to end?
I wanted to take a stab at a lighthearted horror-ish parody, and thought no better than to base it off of Luigi's Mansion source material. There have been many renditions of Professor E. Gadd's Poltergust vacuum throughout the series and Mario spinoff titles and thought it would be fun to try to take it to the next level with a more powerful vacuum: dubbed the Poltergust X-000 (or "X thousand").
This animation required me to work heavily with background element animation interacting with foreground elements. A lot of the time I was creating part of the background assets in Photoshop and needing to redraw them in Animate or just animating them fully in Photoshop.
