On September 23rd 2015, I saw my grandaunt have her last breath after a battle with ovarian cancer. If she were alive, today would have been her 70th birthday.
Some people say that whenever a relative passes away, butterflies start coming towards you. It is believed that the butterfly represents a deceased loved one coming down from heaven to say "hello". Ever since that day, I had a lot of those type of visitors. As a result, this is my take on that subject.
This is also the first time I used shadow effects throughout the entire animation. It helps mix with the mood of this short.
It may not be my best work but just remember, it was made for a past relative of mine.
