Norwegian log house (laftehus) repair and restoration, was the intended main subject of this channel. But the subject matter has spread rather to some of my other interests.


During my years residing in Norway, I have built, repaired and restored traditional wooden buildings to supplement my work as a visual Artist. Norway has a fascinating, living, 1000 year tradition of building laftehus (timber/log house), which is seriously threatened by newer building techniques. The value of this tradition to Norwegian and world woodworking heritage is clear to me, and I hope some of my films can help preserve it as a living knowledge.
