FPV means first person view, the initials used in the drone community to describe wearing goggles to fly mini quads. The goggles receive the picture from a small camera mounted on the drone. The image is low resolution. The vids I upload to youtube are now gopro 5 session footage at a much higher resolution than that received by the fpv goggles.

I started flying drones / mini quads in 2012 using a dji 550 - then moving to a flamewheel 450. The single reason was for film making and photography use. Due to the Tobermory Cat project becoming obstructed I took to flying for pleasure alone. I fly alone at the moment as there are no other pilots here so flying close proximity has become my interest. Its challenging - that keeps it interesting.
