Ben Ruhl is a musician and recording artist. From the PNW, his musical beginnings started at age 12 with a private instructor learning drums/percussion. His passion for music kept him actively involved in jazz band, symphonic band, and choir throughout his time in school. In 1990, drawn by the allure of the emerging grunge scene, he moved to Seattle. There he honed his craft playing drums for numerous bands of different styles, eventually landing an audition for Blue Man Group in '02. After a successful audition, he moved to Las Vegas performing nightly as a full-time drummer. Career highlights with BMG include performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Live With Regis and Kelly, and percussionist on their c.d. release Live at the Venetian. After 13 years with BMG, he left the company and settled in Folsom, CA. where he writes and records music from his home studio. Outside of his own music, he enjoys collaborating with other artists, and is a member of the band The Orbit Place.
