When it comes to music I place primary importance on an epic sound, usually at high speeds, primarily due to my roots. To be stuck with just quarter notes, 8th notes, and 16th notes, creates a feeling that's alien. When I hear players break free with that; it makes it sound almost spiritual. It's very expressive and I find that I want to hear it over and over again. It's almost like this type of playing possesses some sort of living property that, every time you hear it, you hear something new about it.
