General projects

I am an educated, trained and fully credentialed professional automotive technician and have been in the trade going on 30 years. Over the years I've managed to become an accomplished arc, tig and mig welder as well as an electrician and occasional plumber though not certified in these areas. To this end I am the one who is called upon when the midnight oil is burning and the shade tree amateurs have departed. No one person knows everything and I continue to learn as automotive technology is constantly evolving.

I get a kick out of people calling themselves this type of technician or that type of mechanic when the extent of their working knowledge is changing oil and drive belts. The fake it until you make it mentality in the field of automotive repair has led to lower wages and a lack of respect for real technicians.
