Knives, flashlights, pens and other EDC gear are important to me.

*Be prepared*, is a known phrase used often, and is important to me. I'll probably have taken it a bit too far, according to some friends and coworkers around me. They tell me I carry way too much crap with me all day, but if they need something I'm the first one they come to. You know, there is a thought behind (almost) anything I carry with me and be rather over-prepared than under.
But equally if not more important is training, to know how to use your gear and to be able to improvise under the most stressful circumstances. On that note, first aid in different degrees and areas of expertise, are vital, both in training and in applying the skills in the field. This all started as a 10 year old boy, when I followed my first mini first aid course and was given a Victorinox knife by my mother.
